Abstract:Light sheet microscopy is a novel imaging technology. Compared with the other optical imaging technologies, the major advantages of light sheet microscopy include large imaging depth, high imaging contrast, fast imaging speed, low photobleaching, low phototoxicity, high spatial and temporal resolution. These unique advantages enable light sheet microscopy to become an excellent imaging method for the life science research. Researchers studying the growth and nervous system based on zebrafish obtatined lots of important result with the help of light sheet microscopy. In this paper, we provide a brief review of recent progress in the study of the embryonic system and the nervous system.
