Abstract:Twodimensional graphene oxide (GO) has low cytotoxicity and good biocompatibility, which can be employed as good photothermal/imaging agents as well as nanocarriers for the delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs/genes. However, there are strong Vander Waals forces among the layer of GO, which can cause deteriorating effects of the agglomeration of GO, and is unfavorable for biological applications. In this work, 1, 2distearoylsnglycero3phosphoethanolaminepegamine (DSPEPEGNH2) was employed to decorate GO, affording hybrid GO nanoparticles, DSPEPEGGO. The welldispersed DSPEPEGGO was kept stable in aqueous solution for even more than two weeks, and it had no obvious cytotoxicity, which is promising in biomedicine.
