Abstract:Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are small molecules produced by plant metabolism which are not only key regulatory factors for growth and development as well as plant defense pathway but also the deleterious byproducts of aerobic metabolism. The physiological processes of plant cell are controlled by an oxidative and reductive network which is regulated by ROS. The study progress of ROS signal and its regulations on plant resistance to stresses from aspects of generation location, temporospatial characters,ROS signal and its interaction with NO and Ca2+ wave were reviewed in the paper.
